Mending & embellishing clothes at home!
This is an easy task to add to your slow fashion practice. You can totally cover up stains using this method and even patch up those pesky knee holes that appear in kid leggings. Huge thanks to our family friend, Connie, for sharing these pics of her process.
You've got this!

You only need a few things: scissors, needle, any kind of thread,
and fabric to use as patches.

Want your patches to be a specific size and/or shape? Trace around any item you have at home or you can just wing it. :)

You can cover holes or stains or just add embellishments to make your
clothes even cooler.

Starting the needle at the back of the patch/garment, stitch around the edge of your patch and anyplace inside too. Any stitch looks good. Here's a video to help you knot the ends of your thread on your needle.
When you're patching a hole, just make sure your patch is bigger than the hole you are covering. Then stitch it up.
